MEET THE FOUNDERS
Two experienced leaders
One shared mission
ThrivePath was founded on the belief that healthier people, stronger leaders, and resilient organizations create lasting impact. Together, Dr. Roxie Wells and Michelle Snyder bring decades of experience helping individuals and organizations prevent burnout, strengthen leadership, and cultivate thriving workplace cultures.

Dr. Roxie Wells, MD
Dr. Roxie Cannon Wells is a physician executive, healthcare advocate, and co-founder of ThrivePath with more than 30 years of experience advancing healthcare in North Carolina. Her career spans rural family medicine, physician leadership, hospital administration, and service as president of community hospitals. Although her professional experience is rooted in healthcare, she brings a broad understanding of leadership, organizational culture, workforce well-being, and sustainable performance that applies across sectors.
Dr. Wells’ leadership includes service on the American Hospital Association’s Board of Trustees and as chair of the North Carolina Healthcare Association’s Board of Trustees. She has also contributed to initiatives focused on workforce development, rural health, healthcare quality, physician leadership, and health equity.
Her commitment to burnout prevention comes from witnessing the personal toll of sustained pressure on dedicated professionals. Through ThrivePath, she helps organizations create healthier, more sustainable cultures while supporting individuals in strengthening well-being, managing stress, renewing purpose, and building resilience.
Dr. Wells believes excellence and meaningful service should be sustainable, and that people should not have to sacrifice their health and well-being to make a difference. Her work aligns individual well-being with organizational priorities so that people can perform at their best, grow professionally, and remain engaged in work that matters to them. Organizations benefit from stronger leadership, healthier teams, improved retention, and more sustainable results.
Michelle Snyder, MDiv, LCSW
Michelle Snyder, MDiv, LCSW, leverages a unique blend of clinical practice and management intelligence to help leaders and professionals navigate burnout, strengthen resilience, and sustain peak performance. As a lead consultant with The Center for Healthy Churches and Executive Co-Director of the Soul Shop Movement, she combines therapeutic expertise with strategic systems thinking, drawing on extensive experience supporting individuals experiencing burnout, compassion fatigue, and chronic workplace stress.

Michelle has spent over a decade developing practical strategies for recovery, boundary-setting, emotional regulation, and renewed engagement. Her approach extends beyond individual intervention to target the systemic and structural causes of professional exhaustion within organizations. By identifying hidden friction points, improving team dynamics, and embedding emotionally intelligent leadership practices into management frameworks, she has spent her career helping create cultures that promote both organizational excellence and human flourishing.
Her commitment to this work is also personal. As a therapist, Michelle has worked with many clients who were worn out and no longer able to find joy in work they once loved, an experience that led her to write a book about burnout. At age 40, she experienced her own overwhelm and suffered a heart attack. That experience prompted her to reexamine her life and make meaningful changes. She understands burnout and recovery firsthand, continues to see recovery as an ongoing process, and believes there is another way to live and work. She wants others to experience it, too.
Our Approach
Every engagement is rooted in authentic partnership, evidence-informed strategies, and a commitment to practical, sustainable results.
